1、 Daily patrol inspection (mandatory for each shift)
1. Monitoring of operating parameters
      Pressure: Top/bottom pressure, pressure difference (packing/tray resistance), abnormal conditions need to be investigated for blockage or leakage.
      Temperature: Tower top, tower bottom, feed/reflux temperature to prevent overheating and thermal shock.
      Liquid level: The liquid level of the tower kettle and reflux tank is strictly prohibited from being full or dry, and high and low alarms are set.
      Flow rate: feed, reflux, discharge flow rate, stable load and anti fluctuation.
      Vibration/Noise: Abnormal vibration inspection for fasteners, internal components, and foundation settlement.
2. Tower body and external inspection
      Appearance: The cylinder, head, weld, connecting pipe, and flange are free from deformation, cracks, corrosion, and leakage.
      Insulation/anti-corrosion: The insulation layer is intact, without detachment or moisture; The exterior paint/passivation film is intact.
      Foundation/Foot: No cracking, settlement, or loose bolts.
      Attachment: Pressure gauges, thermometers, safety valves, vent valves, and level gauges are sensitive and correct, and safety valves are regularly calibrated.
3. Internal components and media (visible/accessible)
      Packing/tray: No blockage, deformation, or detachment, distributor/collection tank is not damaged.
Material: No abnormal discoloration, coking, impurities, strictly prevent the enrichment of corrosive media such as chloride ions and sulfides.
2、 Regular cleaning (weekly/monthly/quarterly)
1. External cleaning (weekly)
      Soft cloth/sponge+neutral detergent (pH 6-8), wipe along the texture, do not use steel wire balls or scouring pads.
      Water stains/salt spray: Rinse with clean water → Dry with a dry cloth → Apply a thin layer of stainless steel care agent to prevent fingerprints and rust.
      Strictly prohibit: chlorine bleach, strong acid and alkali, and scratching with hard tools.
2. Internal cleaning (monthly/quarterly, depending on operating conditions)
      Shutdown → Cooling → Evacuation → Nitrogen Replacement → Blind Plate Isolation → Gas Analysis (Combustible/Oxygen/Toxic).
      Mild: Rinse with deionized water/low-pressure steam, soft brush to clean packing/tray sediment.
      Heavy: neutral/weakly alkaline cleaning agent circulation → rinse with clean water → dry; Use strong acid with caution to prevent pitting/intergranular corrosion.
      Key: Strictly control Cl ⁻<50ppm for 316/316L; 2205 duplex steel is resistant to sulfide stress corrosion.
3、 Corrosion prevention and passivation (quarterly/semi annual)
      Passivation film repair: acid washing (5% nitric acid+0.5% hydrofluoric acid, 40-50 ℃) → neutralization → rinsing with clean water → drying → passivation (20% nitric acid, room temperature for 30 minutes).
      Local rust spots: 80-120 grit sandpaper lightly ground → polished → passivated → protected by a care agent.
      Isolation of dissimilar metals: Rubber/PTFE gaskets are added between stainless steel and carbon steel/aluminum to prevent electrochemical corrosion.
4、 Fasteners and lubrication (monthly)
      Bolts: The tower body, flanges, manholes, and support bolts are evenly fastened diagonally to prevent thermal expansion and contraction loosening.
      Valve: Clean the valve core and sealing surface, lubricate the valve stem/packing with food grade/high-temperature grease.
      Rotating parts: Mixing, pump, and reducer should change oil/grease periodically, and there should be no leakage in the seal.
5、 Annual maintenance (shutdown for major repairs)
      Open lid inspection: tray, packing, distributor, support, demister, repair or replace damaged parts.
      Wall thickness testing: Ultrasonic thickness measurement, focusing on welds, heads, and connections, to evaluate corrosion rate.
      Water pressure/air tightness test: Conduct a pressure test at 1.25-1.5 times the  design pressure and hold for 30 minutes without any leakage.
      Safety valve/instrument calibration: Full range calibration to ensure reliable interlocking.
      Foundation and steel structure: measuring verticality, settlement, and anti-corrosion renovation.
6、 Common problems and solutions
      Pitting/rust spots: Cl ⁻ exceeds the standard → chlorine reduction+passivation+regular testing.
      Weld corrosion: intergranular corrosion → solution treatment+low sensitivity welding.
      Packing blockage: material coking → shutdown cleaning+optimization of process to prevent coking.
       Leakage: flange/seal → replace gasket (PTFE/metal winding)+evenly tighten.
